anyway, cleaning up some old files this morning, i found an old 'story of life' post that i made (i think) on another xjw site.
The WTBorg Cult Inc. is a very cleverly constructed Front Organization for none other than the Father of the Lie. Those who are ensnared by the Cult are led to believe that they are serving the Forces of Good but, in "truth," are doing the works of the Adversary who quite skillfully presents himself as an Angel of Light.
The Men who make the rules have been thoroughly deceived and corrupted. It is sad that their lies are believed by so many...
warning - vent ahead....... so, my father (still very much in jw but who has at least had the decency to still keep in contact with me and hubby and to show interest in why we aren't attending and respect where we are at) is in intensive care at a local hospital and is intubated and sedated with some serious health issues.
i'm next of kin so i get all the phone calls from the hospital.. so, the rest of the "family" has cut me off because we are inactive and because the ever-active jw gossip grapevine has rumoured with a sibilant slithy hissy voice: "apossstassssy" is the cause of our inactivity.. whatever.. but now i've had to contact said "family" with the news about my father and what is going on....... so, dad's sisters answer my calls and manage to act and conduct themselves with a degree of decorum.. my sister on the other hand - well, she doesn't deign to answer my calls and texts for most of the day.
i push the issue tonight and insist on speaking to her when my brother-in-law answers the call.
Once we come to the truthful realization that those who are PIMI the WTBorg Cult Inc., are in fact Worshipers of Old Satan himself, then the shunning isn't quite so painful. We can actually feel pity for their sorry state of deceived thinking and actions. There will surely come a time, yet future, when they will be made to see the error of their ways and repent. In the meantime treat them with loving kindness. Plant your seeds in a good way...
one of the main things i am trying to wrap my head around after waking up to the nonsense of jw.org is the deity of christ.. jws go out of their way to ignore him, it seems to me.
they make him out to be an angel or something.
yet, if one simply reads the scriptures, you get an entirely different picture.. doing some bible reading this morning i accidentally (long story) read the latter part of 1 john 5 and it's good stuff.. after reading it in the niv i read it in nwt and it is still pretty amazing even in that abomination of a translation.. it says.... 13 i write you these things so that you may know that you have life everlasting, you who put your faith in the name of the son of god.
He told us who he was while on Earth.
He is the Son of his Father.
That the Son of God would be like the Almighty One seems reasonable.
Weren't we in the Physical Realm created because the Son wanted us?

i would like to state publicly, on this forum, i no longer hold the views i had a year ago.. with much thought, research, study and logical examination i have come to a better understanding of my beliefs and where i stand on all these issues.. i'm very happy to announce i have returned to healthful teaching of the holy scriptures and i firmly believe that the governing body of jehovah's witnesses is the faithful slave.. sorry if i have contibuted to any kind of stumbling and know that if i can turn things around then there's hope for all who come to there sence.. phill4:6,7.

interesting observations i've noticed when visiting my uber elder cousin and his wife.
he just inherited a lovely home on the water on puget sound from his non jw dad who passed away earlier this year.
so they have spent many $$$ and months remodeling this house to their standards which are quite expensive tastes.
